Where is
Stevie?
The task of finding out who
kidnapped Stevie was a very interesting one for our group. There were
difficulties, things that came off easier, and ideas that just had us starring
at the paper like this cannot be what we have to do. Completing this task also
gave us a nice little workout since we were going up and down stairs back to
back!
As we mentioned previously
there were a couple difficulties we encountered in completing this task. One in
specific was, knowing exactly where to go once we were on the floor that the
directions had told us to go to. An example of that difficulty in detail was clue
#2. Finding the shark in the library in front of the museum, which then led us
to like a part two of the first shark clue stating, that we know would have to
find an egg within the museums bird egg exhibit. It took us about 5 minutes to
actually find the “Pacific Golden Plover” egg amongst at least 100 other
different eggs. Another difficulty that we experienced as a group was,
understanding how to read the call numbers on the books we had to look up. For
instance clue #3 where we had to find a picture of the English Pointer in the
Encyclopedia of Dogs to get our next clue and clue #5 was also a clue that was
inside of a book we had to find. One more example was when we
went into the CD collection for clue #4. Finally, probably the most
difficult task that we faced after finding all the clues, unscrambling the last
word to find out where Stevie was being held captive.
The task to find Stevie did
begin to get easier for us though. Once we started gaining more clues our
anticipation to actually find Stevie began to increase significantly just
because we knew we were getting closer and closer to finding him. To not finish
last was also a pretty good motivation for us to continue and speed up our
search for Stevie in general; nobody likes coming in last place. Overall in the
end we found Stevie, came in third place (Bronze), and also had fun!
